# Free Roblox GFX Backgrounds — Skyboxes for Thumbnails

**Free skybox backgrounds you use directly in the Renderbux studio — no download, no Photopea compositing.** Pick a background, pose your real avatar in front of it, and export a thumbnail-ready PNG.

Because the skybox is part of the 3D scene rather than a layer pasted behind the render, the lighting direction and perspective match the character automatically. That is the step most GFX composites get wrong.

## How to use one

1. Open the [studio](/p/new) and load your avatar.
2. Pick a skybox from the scene panel (the same set shown in the [gallery](/backgrounds)).
3. Pose, light, and export.

Prefer to composite by hand? Export a transparent PNG instead and drop it onto any background image. The [GFX backgrounds guide](/guides/roblox-gfx-backgrounds) covers external sources, the four background styles that work, and how to make the composite look professional.
